I - Influencer

Leandra Medine - Fashion blogger / Fashion Influencer

The term ' Influencer ' has a great significance in fashion blogging. I recently came across this term and I was not aware that any such term existed in the Fashion terminology.

The term ' Influencer ' means individuals who have the power to affect the purchase decisions of others because of their authority, knowledge, position or relationship. Fortunately we don't have to be celebrities, to influence someone's purchase decisions.

In fashion blogging one can share their own dressing tips, knowledge about fashion and  write reviews about different products and influence people to buy them. It's a great form of marketing which is the current trend.

Gone are the days where celebrities and fashion icons influenced people by what they wore and used. Now normal people like you and me can have our own voice. We can  share our own knowledge , ideas and tips on the subject we have an authority over. Thereby we can influence thousands of readers who follow us on blogs and social media sites.

Emily Schuman - Fashion Influencer / Fashion Blogger

Likewise fashion blogging has created numerous influencers. It all starts by creating a fashion blog. Then you start sharing your knowlege on fashion, clothes, brands and influence people's purchase decisions. Fashion bloggers are now becoming fashion influencers - a title that was given to celebrities, fashion designers and models.

Some start by creating a fashion blog as a personal hobby which gets converted to a business by reaching out to customers and people all over the world. And thanks to social media sites for creating the traffic. The brands and different companies benefit the most as they get a lot of exposure for a small price. The products and information on them reaches thousands of customers at a small price. Some bloggers are contented by taking free clothes and products.

One such blogger is Emily Schumann. She had created a blog Cashmere and cupcakes to give vent to her creativity. It all started out as a hobby. It was a place where she collected things that inspired her and shared it with her readers. Today the blog is her source of income. Thus we see that fashion blogging has created influencers who are normal people like you and me.

  2. This is an interesting post, and you are clearly quite knowledgeable on this subject. I personally know very little about fashion, and what little I have picked up is due to influencers I've come across in my life. It's amazing how social media has shaped the world we live in today.
