Offers on Indian Kurtas Online

Indian Kurtas are one of the most comfy and gracious Indian attire according to me, as they can be worn, at home, to work and to an occassion as well. We have the flexibility to pair them up with jeans, leggings and trousers. The comfort factor and it's feminine touch makes it a must have for every Indian woman.

I received one such Aurelia blue cotton solid kurta, as a result of one of my online shopping sprees. I came to know about the discount offer on it, through a site named CupoNation. The retailer for this offer was Jabong.com. I browsed the link thoroughly and received the fashion coupon code. Then I was straightaway redirected, to the retailer's site and was amazed to see the lovely collection of Kurtas / Kurtis.

Most of them had impressive discounts. All beautifully displayed, plain kurtas, multi-coloured kurtas and some of them had a lot of work on it. I chose an Aurelia blue cotton solid Kurtha. The payment of Rs.499/- was made at the retailer's site, where I was given the discount. I must say that the payment method is easy and  You can have quick peek at the kurta which I purchased, by clicking on this link -> Jabong Kurtha. I received the parcel near my door step in less than twenty four hours. The parcel was not tampered and easy to open. The retail invoice was attached at the back of the parcel for our own reference.

The soothing blue colour was what attracted me the most. After unwrapping the parcel, I felt the texture of the kurta, it was smooth and soft.

After trying on the Kurtha, I was completely satisfied with the fit. Generally it's the fit, that we women are more concerned about, while purchasing any attire online, because no one wants to go through the hassle of sending the parcel back to the retailer.

It's been seven months, since I received this Kurtha and there's no change in the texture, smoothness and the quality of the product so far.

You too can have a quick peek at Jabong's alluring offers and gain more information on other deals by diverse brands by visiting CupoNation. You'll find amazing deals and fashion coupon codes to avail discounts on various women's outfits. You can easily find the Jabong coupons or Snapdeal coupons at the couponing website."

Four Fountains Spa review

I had the opportunity to visit the four fountains spa recently. I opted to visit the Koramangala branch in Bangalore as that seemed to be the closest branch. I'm glad that I came across a Spa that is affordable and maintains high quality standards as well. You would be welcomed by a sweet lemongrass Aroma as you enter it. The reception is specially designed with wooden beads to massage our back and the door handles have been created to massage the pressure points of our palms.

The customer is immediately attended to by the courteous spa team. They guide the customer through the various massage therapies that are available and would also recommend a therapy based on our individual needs and requirement. Thus it becomes easier to make choice from the various packages that are available.

While I was going through the rates of the various therapies, I realised that the prices of the massage therapies were afforadable and within the budget. This was what caught my attention. Many of us hesitate to go to a spa frequently due to the towering rates of the packages. But the packages that were available here were reasonable.  The therapies are categorized into De-stressing, De-toxification, immunity and beauty.

Once I decided on the therapy, I was escorted to my room. As I entered the room, the dim lights and the soothing cool atmosphere in the room already started working on my nerves. A soothing tune was being played in the background. I instantly began to feel relaxed and calm. I was introduced to my massage therapist; a young pleasant female therapist. After she greeted me, she guided me to place my belongings in the locker room. She showed me the change over clothes that was neatly laid on the bed. I was told to press a buzzer, once I complete changing. The therapist was warm, friendly and very professional. She was not hasty and maintained the pressure to my need and liking.

The therapist made sure that I was comfortable with the entire therapy. After a relaxing massage which I assume lasted more than an hour, I was asked to take a warm water shower.  The shower room had a higher grade shampoo and body soap with a sweet smelling fragrance. I took my own sweet time as there was no one to hasten me.  They also provided a hair dryer and the therapsit took efforts to dry my tangled hair.

After the complete session, I was escorted out of the room and immediately given a hot cup of green tea, which I sipped at my own leisure pace.  I was then asked to fill up a customer feedback form.

I've summarized the complete experience with Four Fountains Spa in points given below

  • The customer service staff and the administration executives are prompt, courteous and helpful.
  • They take immediate appointments and are flexible in giving you a slot that is comfortable to the customer.
  • The prices of most of the therapies are affordable and within the budget of the common man.
  • The rooms are very clean and the atmosphere is soothing and serene.
  • They provide same gender therapies.
  • The therapists are professional and courteous.
  • They provided brochures on living a healthy stress-free life and a complete guide on the four fountains spa.
  • They also tie up with corporate companies for their employees Wellness programmes.
  • They provide gift vouchers which can be handed to friends and family on special occasions.
My overall experience with four fountains Spa was satisfying. To get more information of the Spa, it's locations and packages click here -> Four Fountains Spa.

Rajdeep Ranawat's collection  preview
' Beyond the cold ' is the concept and theme behind  Rajdeep Ranawat's the fall winter 2014 collection. It takes it's inspiration from cold forests. Each piece from his collection is unique and has a different story to tell. His diverse, digital and embroidered pieces tells innovative stories and delivers powerful ideas of fortress once beautified by the wild imagination of human talent and creativity and their eventual downfall to the wilderness.

In his designs he tries to graphically capture a sense of degenerating mosaics and lost handcrafted artifacts; crumbling architectures, over run by the forests, of treasures lost and parchment dissipated. His collections are master pieces and are made of fabrics like silk crepe, silk georgette organza, and Chanderi.  He used those colours for the garment that would strive to create a winter mood.

ILK by Vinita and Shikha collection preview
' Beehive yourself ' is the concept and theme behind  Vinita and Shikha's ILK collection. In this collection you would see naturally occuring geometric designs like hexagonal shapes, that resemble honeycomb patterns. These pieces would reflect the beauty that is found in these naturally made honeycombs. The ' ILK Woman ' would be honored with the title ' Busy Bee '.

The ' ILK Woman' is defined as the one who has a powerful mind with a sharp head on her shoulders. The silhouettes would reflect a utilitarian aesthetic which means  that the unique pieces would be a combination of utility and attractiveness, thereby commanding attention. Each piece with a melange of varied textures and techniques has come together with intricate detailing. A lot of effort and hard work has been put into creating each one these masterpieces.

When we soak up these designs in our mind, our thoughts would give us the impression that we are immersed in these honey producing combs and feel the textures, embroideries and shapes.  This energy that would be created within us would wire us to indulge ourselves in these thoughts and let our imagination ' bee ' free. Hope you liked the two themes that would sweep away your imagination, as and when the collection would be presented to you.

Yet again they have come up with a thrilling event that would turn the lives of upcoming artists in the field of fashion.

This event would be a platform for upcoming models, designers, photographers to showcase their talent. This is interesting isn't it ? After all how often do we hear about such online fashion events ?

Artists associated with the fashion world would get a grand opening to prove their metal and in turn get recognized for their credentials. Talent is once again given priority here. This would be a magnificent stepping stone for fashion enthusiasts in the field of glitz and glam. There are several people who are talented but how often do they get a platform to prove themselves ? Jabong.com has done just that.

Fitness and health

The glamour world  pays a lot of importance to being fit and healthy. The models really work out hard to look fit and slim. Loosing weight is not an easy task as it requires a lot of will power and determination to burn out calories.

Keeping in mind  today's lifestyle, we can easily add on calories within a split of a second. There are plenty of fast food joints, where people - young and old love to snack on junk food. Hence the calories get built up rapidly in our bodies. Obesity increases the risk of  diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, stroke, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and other forms of cancer.

Eating the right kind of food prevents us from adding those extra calories. Physical activity boosts our metabolism rate by burning out calories. Loosing weight is serious business and the transformation should be slow and gradual. Hastening the process could lead to serious side effects in health.

We are fortunate to have plenty of resources at our door step that we can make use of. The number of fitness gyms that have come up is innumerable. Taking one step at a time is the key. One can start with home remedies first.

By personal experience I've learnt that Green Tea is a good way to shed those extra calories. According researchers green tea cuts down fat rapidly as it removes all the antioxidants and it burns fat at a faster rate.

Here are a few websites that could help us Health Total. / Health and FitnessFitness Magazine.

Sarees - back in fashion

Sarees are one of the most glamorous and sensual  attire of an Indian woman. Most Indian women love adorning this attire because it's an epitome of grace and beauty. In India the garment has a close association with tradition and culture.  In India sarees are broadly categorized into Silk or  cotton sarees.  Each state in India has it's own unique craftsmanship. As we all know it's a long garment and can be draped in various ways. The fashion of sarees has caught up abroad as well.

It's been said that the saree originated way back during the Indus valley civilization. Sarees are here to stay and they will never go out of fashion in India.
Let's have a look at some of the celebrities wearing sarees. Most of our Indian celebrities look graceful adorning this garment.

It's a fabulous product to have and I recommend this lotion to each one of you. A 250 ml bottle costs Rs. 407/-. It's worth the price as it lasts long.

Z - Zebra Prints

Zebra prints are animal prints. They are bold and wild ! These prints are adorned by people who  are bold and want to experiment with their adventurous side. The print consists of black and white stripes and it's very striking.  It's a good idea  to stack up an animal print in your wardrobe if you love to experiment with your clothes and add a touch of spice to your wardrobe. Animals prints are very popular and we find many celebrities sporting the animal print look.

Animals prints like Zebra prints can be worn for parties, casual outings and even night clubs. Since the print is very striking, we can tone down the loud look by wearing fewer accessories. High heels, or even flats  can be paired with the outfit. Choose nude colours shoes like Beige or grey to match the outfits. You can also mix and match the outfits with other dark solid colours.

Below is a model displaying a Halter Zebra Print Maxi. She's carried the look by wearing gladiator flats and a few accessories.

Zebra prints are everywhere. You'll find them in handbags and even shoes too.

Y - Youthful You

No one can turn back time and defy age. No matter what steps we take we all have to grow old. But we can do so gracefully and enthusiastically. A few steps that can be taken to feel and look healthy are listed below.

Exercising - Exercising regularly regulates blood pressure and weight. It helps in blood circulation.  A person who exercises regularly gets a natural glow.

Adequate sleep - It's good to sleep at least six to eight hours a day. Sleeping less than six hours could cause hormonal imbalance and other health related issues. For proper functioning of the mind and body, eight hours of sleep is a must.

Avoid smoking - Smoking not only causes diseases like cancer, lung disease and diabetes, it makes one look much older than his or her age. If you are a smoker, then give it up immediately.

Take care of your skin - Skin is a great indicator of your health and age. To have a healthy skin avoid smoking, avoid the sun and consume plenty of water. Water flushes the toxins out of the body and keeps the skin hydrated. Check out the latest creams available. Use something that's mild and suits your skin type.

Avoid stress - Stress is synonymous with our current lifestyle. With the long working hours and hectic work schedules it's difficult to avoid stress. We can control stress by indulging in stress busting activities like listening to music or indulging in one of our favourite sport. Indulging in an activity that we enjoy can be therapeutic and healing.

Smile often - Smiling brings a natural glow to the face. It reduces tension lines and softens the overall look of the face.  Smiling can make you look much younger.

Keep up with fashion - We can keep ourselves updated with the latest trends and fashion. This way we can choose the right way of dressing to look younger and smarter. Ofcourse it's not advisable to cross limits. We can choose to dress gracefully, keeping our age in mind. It's good to be experimentive. Change is good.

There are several celebrities who have lived hectic lifestyles and still managed to age gracefully. Some of them have defied time and managed to look much younger than their actual age. Amitabh Bachan is the perfect example. He exudes charm and confidence. He's managed to age gracefully and can win hearts even now.

I've been seeing Eva Longoria for years on television and she's always looked the same to me. Her face is bright and she wears a lovely smile all the time. Probably her smile is her secret to staying and looking young.

Johnny Depp is one of my favourite actors and as the years pass by he looks better. His personality, youthful and charming ways can sweep any woman off her feet.

Rekha is an epitome of Indian beauty.  She has a very enthusiastic and a charming personality. According to sources she leads a very disciplined healthy life. She gives importance to sleep, healthy food, yoga and drinks plenty of water.

There are many models, fashion icons, celebrities and even normal human beings like our own family who manage to look and stay healthy. It's not always about make up or beauty sessions at the parlour that can make one look younger. It's our own nature, how we feel about ourselves from within, our outlook towards life and people, that makes a major difference to the way we look and feel.

X - X -RAY Fabrics

It was quite tricky to write a  fashion post beginning with the letter ' X '. Not many brands or terms in fashion begin with the letter ' X '. Fortunately, I found the term. So, here goes my post for the day.  X  stands for X- ray fabrics.

This is a term that's not often heard. What is X- Ray Fabrics ? X ray fabrics are completely hand woven. In this concept the designer aims to create hand woven materials to display the vertical threads. And then using the  innovative weave method  the threads are forced to move out of their usual place thereby creating unique, distinct and beautiful patterns across the material. X ray fabrics are transparent material and it looks way beautiful when light passes through it. It feels like the fabric is composed of woven ice crystals.

They produce different results when light passes through it. It looks different at dawn and at dusk. Even artificial lights can be passed through and it would produce a different look. It's about experimenting the looks of the material with the different effects of light passing through it.

By using hand woven materials and the hand weaving technique the vertical threads have formed various patterns in the pic above. It's amazing how different patterns are formed.

This rare hand weaving technique is created by Rita Parniczky. Her main aim is to make the invisible world of threads visible through this innovative hand weaving technique.

Check out the use of Xray fabrics in the world of fashion. Here are a few pics.

Here's an example of an X- ray fabric dress.

W - Wedges

Today I chose ' Wedges ' for the letter ' W '. These are in my list of favourites because they have a fun, girly chic look. They can be worn with casual outfits like dresses, jeans and skirts. I have a pair of red wedges which was gifted by an aunt.

Here's a quick look of it.

These shoes were introduced in the Italian market by Salvatore Ferragamo in late 1930s. In these shoes the sole is in the form of a wedge.  The back part of the sole is thick and it serves both as a sole and a heel.

Wedge boots are generally worn by women. They have a sole that is thicker at the back than front. This makes it a high heel shoe or a boot. They provide a good surface area to walk. It's very practical and comfortable to use. Let's have a look at the latest wedges that are available at online portals.

Wedges have been in vogue since a very long time. They seem to never go out of trend. So, it's a good idea to stack up a pair of wedges in your collection of shoes. They are plenty of brands and designs that are available in the popular online portals.  Hurry and check them out soon.

I'll catch you on Monday with the letter 'X' . Till then stay fashionable and have a great weekend.

His career began when his mother started a sewing workshop where he worked as an apprentice.  Then he moved to Milan at the age of twenty six  and concentrated on his career as a fashion designer. He designed for famous personalities like Michael Jackson, Elton John, Princess Diana and  many more.

Unfortunately Gianni Versace was killed on July 15 1997. His sister Donatella Versace then stepped in as creative Director of Versace. His older brother Santo Versace became CEO.

A large number of designers and stylists are employed  in Versace's department. They work closely together under the supervision of Donatella Versace. Each team works for one specific label.  The Versace brand is classified into several labels - Atelier Versace, Versace Couture, Versace Sports, Versace Home Collection, Versace Jeans Couture, Versace Collection, Young Versace, and Versus

Versace Couture is one of the most important lines that contains high-end, often handmade apparel, jewellery, watches, fragrances, cosmetics, handbags, and home furnishings. This line is the only line presented on the runway. Couture dresses in this line cost about $10,000. Donatella Versace directly heads this line.

Many famous personalities loved Versace's collections. Some of them were Michael Jackson, Princess Diana, Axl rose, Beyonce and many others. Most celebrities love wearing Versace's  outfits for Red carpet events.  The two dresses designed by Versace that was much talked about were the safety pin black dress adorned by Elizabeth Hurley and the Green chiffon dress adorned by Jennifer Lopez at the 42nd Grammy awards 2000. These dresses garnered huge publicity.

Versace has several boutiques that are spread all over the world like Europe, Middle east, America and India.  In India they've  opened boutiques in Mumbai and New Delhi.

Versace uses ' celebrity image' to promote their fashion. The celebrity who is chosen to become the face to promote the fashion is paid monetarily and is also supplied with free clothing for a stipulated period of time. Some well known personalities who became the face of Versace's collections were Madonna, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Christina Aguilera and many others. Currently the queen of Pop lady Gaga is the face of Versace's fashion house.

So, this was all about Versace and his fashion empire. I'll catch you tomorrow with the letter 'W'.
Till then stay fashionable and happy blogging.
